Labrador Retrievers are our hobby and passion.  We are very proud of our Labs, and they will make excellent hunting dogs and / or wonderful family pets.   In addition, we have Lab Retrievers placed in some of the following categories: gun dogs, water dogs, flushing dogs, pointing dogs, retrieving dogs, upland hunting dogs, waterfowl hunting dogs, dock jumpers, blood trackers, shed finders, deer dogs, therapy dogs, Wounded Warrior dogs, drug detection dogs, bomb detection dogs and family pets.

At Punk Hollow, as a breeder of the Labrador we recognize the true standard of the Labrador Retriever and aim to perfect our Labrador breeding. As noted in the AKC Breed Standard.   The Labrador Retriever is a strongly built, medium-sized, short-coupled, dog possessing a sound, athletic, well-balanced conformation that enables it to function as a retrieving gun dog; the substance and soundness to hunt waterfowl or upland game for long hours under difficult conditions; the character and quality to win in the show ring; and the temperament to be a family companion. Physical features and mental characteristics should denote a dog bred to perform as an efficient Retriever of game with a stable temperament suitable for a variety of pursuits beyond the hunting environment. Also, we recognize that the Lab exists in only 3 AKC recognized colors; yellow, chocolate, and black.

You won’t find any 100 pound monstrosities or silver haired dogs claiming to be Labrador Retrievers at our kennel. All of our dogs are born and raised for their true intended purpose, to be a gun dog capable of long hours of hunting in harsh conditions.  All the above is accomplished at our indoor- outdoor climate controlled kennel, located near Fostoria, Ohio
